Recalling Health to the Spirit Essentials

Every man is endowed with a soul which comes into being at the moment of conception, and with that soul comes the ability to know God and to recognize Him.

So if you haven’t already figured out the purpose of life, in general, or yours in particular, here is one passage from the Sacred Text you may wish to meditate on in your quest for a meaningful existence.

“The first duty prescribed by God for His servants is the recognition of Him Who is the Day Spring of His Revelation and the Fountain of His laws, Who representeth the Godhead in both the Kingdom of His Cause and the world of creation. Whoso achieveth this duty hath attained unto all good; and whoso is deprived thereof, hath gone astray, though he be the author of every righteous deed. It behoveth every one who reacheth this most sublime station, this summit of transcendent glory, to observe every ordinance of Him Who is the Desire of the world. These twin duties are inseparable. Neither is acceptable without the other. Thus hath it been decreed by Him Who is the Source of Divine inspiration.” -- Bahá'í Faith

Daily prayer and meditation helps us refine our general life purpose to one that is specific to what God desires for us in our daily existence while on this plane.

Life After Death: is there life after death? Do you really care if there is? Is this a question which is asked more by those who are having a good time on earth or those who are struggling just to exist here? The answer to the question is yes, there is life after death. The proof I could say is that we die, but you would say what the heck does that mean. So let me refer you instead to the Holy Writings which promise an afterlife.

“And now concerning thy question regarding the soul of man and its survival after death. Know thou of a truth that the soul, after its separation from the body, will continue to progress until it attaineth the presence of God, in a state and condition which neither the revolution of ages and centuries, nor the changes and chances of this world, can alter. It will endure as long as the Kingdom of God, His sovereignty, His dominion and power will endure. It will manifest the signs of God and His attributes, and will reveal His loving kindness and bounty...” —Bahá'í Faith
