Recalling Health to the Mind Essentials

·         Gratitude: defined as a kindly feeling because of a favor received, or thankfulness. The best resource I can refer you to—besides the holy books of all God’s divine Manifestations—is this little gem put together by Mr. Wattles. Through daily practice, you can learn to cultivate this virtue which is one of the top four that you need for a strong mind. Showing gratitude for the things you already have is one of the key ways to attract more abundance into your life. All of the “Science of…” books posted in the resource section of this Guide can help you move closer to perfecting the virtue of gratitude. So I caution you not to be put off by titles such as “The Science of Getting Rich,” because gratitude is one of the pillars at the core of the lessons shared.

Freedom from Debt and Worry: “Having reached the age of maturity, man stands in need of wealth,” so said the Prophet. The peace of mind that occurs when one has control over debt and a certain degree of financial security is serene. Many factors contribute to having unmanageable debt, not the least of which is the insatiable beast of materialism so prevalent in the West. Ironically, part of the solution to becoming free from debt includes tithing and giving. More ideals and articles are posted at Recalling Health’s Get Out of Debt site here at http://get-out-of-debt-advice.recallinghealth.net/ .

Love and Peace: Love is the glue that holds the world together, so surely it can hold any relationship together which you might be struggling with. If God is love, then having a relationship with Him will increase your exposure to love. And the more you are around His love, the more you will learn to share your own with those who mean the most to you. There is a short compilation on love, which includes the four kinds of love that man experiences. Check it out in our recommended reading section.

Meditate because ”One hour’s reflection is worth more than 50 years of pious worship”. So much has been written on the benefits of meditation, and yet it is truly a challenge to even attempt to portray to others how illuminating the experience can be. Learn how to meditate and still the mind; when you control the mind you can control your life.

Moderation: Having moderation in all things is not merely confined to bodily habits, but is applicable in the realm of the mind as well.

Never, ever, ever give up: if you are persistent and steadfast, you will reach your goal. There is no way not to. The only way to lose the game is to give up. Often times we want to throw in the tower and wave the white flag of surrender when we feel we are alone, when we feel we have no supporters, when we feel our strength is waning. Remember that all the prophets of God have promised their people that, “behold, I am with you always.” Yes, those that wait on the Lord will have their strength renewed. So never give up.
